We threw a party to celebrate our dear friend Brenda Nelson. She was always the life of the party and one of our biggest fans. She was a pro at getting the dance-floor going. We miss her dearly. Here’s a recording from the event, featuring Joc Max, Dagen Brock and Maxx in the mix. I will post some photos soon.

This has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable events that I’ve ever been a part of. The auction was a success and the artists were truly amazing. Thanks to everyone that contributed and to our partners for this event VML and Children’s Mercy Hospital. Can’t wait for the next series.

This has quickly become one of my favorite events to be a part of. Not only do I get to partner with some of the coolest people that I’m lucky enough to call my friends, but I get to be surrounded by a bunch of great artists. My goal for this set was to freak out Joc as much as possible. If I can do that, I know I’m on the right track.

Local artist Scribe attends The Cause church. The Cause recently purchased a new building and Scribe invited me to come play a Gospel House set while they did some painting in one of their kids rooms. What a great place, I had a blast hanging out with them. Here’s the recording.

Here’s another set of music that I think is just really interesting. Some of the tracks you might recognize from some other sets, but there are quite a few new gems in there. Mostly just rare groove and funk, with some hip hop squeezed in as well. It’s been great just playing music I’m really interested in these past few gigs. Summer is winding down and I think the music in here will keep you warm through the upcoming cool nights.

This was one of our all time favorite events to be a part of. The opportunity to provide inspiration to so many creative people was awesome. This set was mostly rare groove kind of stuff. We wanted to let the music speak for itself.

Here’s a portion of my set at The Union on the 19th of April. It’s pretty deep, especially for the venue. Great for a nice relaxing day on a patio someplace with a refreshing drink in your hand.
